Your daily tasks & responsibilities
  • As part of the Systems Engineering Team you design installations and modifications with focus on aircraft cabin noise reduction
  • Support the in-house acoustic laboratory with selection of equipment, development and implementation of standards and test procedures
  • Ensure adequate communication and liaison internally, especially within the Design Organization, with Production and Maintenance and with external partners and suppliers
  • Support the Team Leader Mechanical Design Engineering in administrative and organizational tasks
  • Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system or installation designed
Main Activities
  • Conduct in-house tests of materials and assemblies
  • Preparation of technical documentation such as reports, analysis, test procedures and installation instructions
  • Support designs with acoustic analysis and calculations
  • Preparation of mechanical drawings (2D/3D-CAD)
  • Support and perform noise measurement ground and flight tests
  • Resolve installation process and noise treatment issues; provide recommendation for enhancements
  • All other duties assigned
The expertise you have & skills you bring 
  • Engineering Degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or relevant field
  • Profound knowledge of the principles of sound and vibration
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in an acoustic engineering role
  • Proactive Teamplayer with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - additionally French and/or German is advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office and popular 2D/3D design software
  • Must show high initiative, be self-motivated, and have ability to act independently on technical matters, manage time effectively
